LOST: Comic-Con 2011 - New LOST "FOOTAGE"!

Hello LOSTIES!  It turns out that just because the show is over doesn't mean that the LOST fun can't keep going!  Executive producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse made a surprise appearance at Entertainment Weekly's TOTALLY LOST Comic-Con panel and brought some new footage with them.  Yes, it's mostly a joke but it's still pretty funny!  I posted the video as well as commentary on other comic-con panels on the TV Addicts Blog.  Go check it out!   If anything else LOST related comes up, you can be sure I'll still be updating this blog!  Until then, see you in another life bruthas!

LOST: Comic-Con 2009 Panel - Producers Tease Season 6

Greetings LOSTIES! Hope you all are enjoying the hiatus from LOST. Who am I kidding? It's torture! Just think how we'll feel in May 2010 when there is no more LOST at all to look forward to. It'll be a sad day (but exciting nonetheless!)

I have been keeping myself busy over the past couple months (wedding, new house, you name it!), but with us months away from the final season of LOST, it never truly leaves you for too long. Add on top of that the Blu-Ray release of seasons 1 and 2, so I've been trying to start my marathon viewing prior to season 6 (way behind on the LOST Re-Watch that has engulfed the LOST Blogosphere though). And of course, as much as I may annoy my new wife with my obsession, she still encourages it by letting me drink out of my DHARMA Station Pint Glasses every Wednesday (in honor of LOST) and even constructing a LOST Cake for the GROOM'S Cake at our wedding? Say what you will, but that tops anything that the Ace of Cakes Put together!
(yup, she and the best man even managed to swipe my Jack Action figure from my clutches and put it beside the cake too!)

Anyway, enough with updates on my LOST obsessed life! We're here to discuss Comic-Con 2009! Just like every other year, the Executive Producers of LOST (Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse) go into Radio Silence after the season finale until the massive Comic-Con event. This being their final panel at Comic-Con they pulled out all of the stops with lots of guests, funny bits and mind puzzling videos! (Although, I wonder if they reference the "CHER FAREWELL TOUR" comparison to indicate that it may NOT be their last comic-con panel.) Unfortunately, I wasn't able to attend the panel in person, but thank the inventor of TWITTER and YOUTUBE for making the world a small place! We have 4 video clips from the Comic-Con Panel below plus various other goodies that they unveiled to us. Naturally, we'll need to speculate what it all means. Without further adieu - The Comic-Con Clips!

Highlights and speculation from the Clips Above:
  • Props to Damon and Carlton for visiting the line that was camped out all night for the panel. They truly appreciate the fan dedication to their show. Also, Damon references having camped out for Comic-Con panels in his day too. Gotta love the NERDVANA of Comic-Con!
  • Damon and Carlton supposedly lock away the final pages of the final script to prove that they are not making it up as they go along. They were going to reveal it on Jimmy Kimmel Live on the night of the series finale, but Josh Holloway, Michael Emerson, Jorge Garcia and Nestor Carbonell had other plans! (all present). But the end of the panel Emerson, insulting Josh Holloway's ability to read, takes the pages from the locked chest and reads them. Yup, they are pages for the ending of HEROES and not LOST. Classic!
  • Season 6 will have a similar feel to Season 1 in terms of Tone and Adventure. Running through the jungle galore, a sense of discovery and unpredictability. Plus they promise we will see many characters we have not seen since season 1. (hmmm Boone, Walt? sure we've seen them but not much!) Note: Ian Somerhalder (Boone) did indicate he was asked to return in some form. I would guess it would be safe to say we'll see most of the main characters we've seen over the years in the final season in some way, shape or form. I mean, it's the final season!
  • Funny bit with some comedian (can't remember his name) who drew a picture of Damon Carlton and a Polar Bear on velvet. Hysterical. He also referenced http://damoncarltonandapolarbear.com/ which I have yet to visit, but did verify it was a real site!
  • It would seem that Calrton Cuse may have slipped on a question where a woman asked if we would see Daniel Faraday happily married in season 6. Carlton indicated that Daniel Faraday was dead. The questioner pointed out the theory of Jack resetting time with his plan to detonate the nuke. Damon swooped in to the rescue and stated that we have not seen the last of Faraday. He will be in season 6 in some form. But did Carlton slip by certifiably saying that Faraday is dead? The commercials they aired seem to suggest otherwise (I'll post them below)
  • Season 6 will feature a new storytelling device. We've had Flashbacks, Flashforwards and Time Travel to tell our stories. There will be something new for the final season but they didn't want to tip their hand. Theories anyone? Here's a crazy one. Perhaps the flashes will be to an alternate timeline with things that COULD HAVE BEEN had time been changed? I think that would get old after one episode though, so I doubt that's what they'll try to do. But it would certainly help explain the commercials they aired during comic-con.
  • Jorge Garcia was introduced by acting as a questioner in line because Damon and Carlton wouldn't return his calls. It was hysterical. But he did ask the big questions. The commercials indicate that time was reset and seasons 1-5 never happened, thus upsetting everyone that has watched for 5 seasons. Damon and Carlton simply said "trust us" and that they wouldn't do something that would upset the fans that have dedicated their lives to watching LOST!
  • Jorge makes a knock that Team Darlton also told him to trust them that Nikki and Paolo would be cool too. NICE.
  • Producers indicated they would answer all questions that are important in the final season. Jorge asked if we'll ever find out what happened to Shannon's inhaler in season 1 when Sayid interrogated Sawyer for it. HYSTERICAL!
  • Michael Emerson makes his presence known by telling Jorge he's only supposed to ask one question. This leads to a hysterical back and forth between the 2 where Jorge tells the audience that Emerson originally auditioned for Hurley. (THANKS Commenter Alex for finding a clip! Audio is kinda rough, but still funny!)

  • Darlton indicated that Richard Alpert's back story is fairly involved in the Island's history so it's pretty safe to say we'll be seeing it. (Mentions of the Black Rock in the middle of the island were made too!) This just in, Nestor Carbonell has been announced as a series regular for the final season!
  • Elizabeth Mitchell will be in the final season of LOST. (we already knew that, but still nice to hear!) We just don't know how much of the season as she is the main character in the "V" Reboot. (I'll be watching that as well folks. Potential blog pending the success of V or ABC's other new show FLASH FORWARD, starring former beloved LOST actor Dominic Monaghan (Charlie)!)
  • Is the Man in Black's name ESAU? Emerson attempts to answer this by indicating people are being too literal with the Biblical reference, but he likes what they're thinking.
  • Does Nestor Carbonell (Richard) wear eyeliner? Hysterical clip included in the videos above of Nestor applying the eyeliner and cursing out the people filming. Quote of the day "Richard Alpert is not Immortal, you are" as he looks in the mirror!
  • While Team Darlton indicates that we won't be seeing much more DHARMA material on the MOTHERSHIP (the actual TV show LOST), they still plan on addressing the FOOD DROPS. But they reference the new online series MYSTERIES OF THE UNIVERSE that is being shown on ABC's website. They will reveal other DHARMA goodies on that. I watched the first one. Seems pretty cool!
  • Has Jacob ever appeared to anyone as someone else? The answer is NO.
  • They close up the show with an IN MEMORIAM of LOST Characters that couldn't be with them. It ends with Charlie as Dominic joins them on stage! (I can't find this clip either!)
  • Commercials: Hurley has had nothing but luck since winning the lottery. Introduces a new menu item at Mr. Cluck's Chicken revolving around the Australian Outback. Oceanic Airlines promoting 30 years of Safe Flying from 1979-2009 (i.e. no crash in 2004). America's Most Wanted looking for Kate Austen. I think I read that it indicated her step-father was still alive too. (7/27 - Found Kate Clip! This is crazy stuff!)

So I'm still missing some clips. If anyone finds them, please share them in the comments and I'll add to this post. Hopefully, that helps everyone get their LOST fix for the time being! If not, check the next section!

OTHER NEWS
  • Thanks to Christian and the Super Secret Project for sharing their LOST FAN-THEM! Check it out guys, it's hysterical!
  • Also, I'm on TWITTER NOW! I fought it for a long time but it has come in handy to get real-time updates from Comic-Con! I also thought it would be great to keep in touch with the Lost Addicts Blog readers for whenever new blogs are posted or immediate thoughts after an episode airs. And of course, once LOST is over, I certainly won't be done with my TV obsession. I'd be able to communicate my next project with everyone. So please, follow me on Twitter to stay tuned!

I think I had more to share, but I just can't think of it right now. Look out for updates to this blog post throughout the next couple weeks if I find more updates. And please, I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts on what was revealed at Comic-Con or if anyone has developed new theories since LOST went on hiatus. I'll post a new blog post if we get any big updates from the producers (Season 6 trailers, Season 6 start date, etc..) As always, I hope you have enjoyed my ramblings and I'll see you probably in a couple months! NAMASTE!

LOST: Comic-Con 2008 Panel!!

Hey Losties! How's it going? Well we are about 2 months into the long hiatus and as usual we have an update from Comic-Con! I posted these video clips from Youtube yesterday, but also promised I'd fill in this blog with some more info after I digested them. These clips are just excerpts from the panel with Team Darlton (Exec Producers Damon Lindeloff and Carlton Cuse ). But they are highly entertaining, as always! I also posted some links below to articles from our most reliable entertainment news sites. Once the podcast is available, I'll add the link to it in this blog posting. Look for my thoughts after the information below!

8/1 Revised: Here's the link to the Podcast!

There is also a link to download it on iTunes there too. Also if you go to lost.abc.com they have a few new videos from Comic-Con including a better quality version of the Marvin Candle video, and an interview with Matthew Fox. Enjoy!

Articles about the panel:

Okay, so what did we learn from this year's comic-con?

  • Locke and Jin will still be part of the cast in some form or another. They were very careful to tread lightly on the topic so that we didn't know who was alive or quite where/when or how the story would be taking place. They mentioned something like "dead is a relative term on this series." Funny how that's changed since season 1 hasn't it? When they said "when you're dead...you're dead!" Of course, I think what they mean is that even if you're dead, there are still flashbacks to be told, and ghostly appearances to happen. Plus whatever is going on with Christian Shephard on the Island as well as eventually ol' John Locke when he undoubtedly returns!
  • Mr Eko's story arc was cut short because Adewale (the actor) was tired of Hawaii! My my how that story has changed over the years!
  • Video 1 above was talking about the greatest episode of season 4 (possibly of the show) "The Constant" Dez's Time Travel crazy episode. They looked to establish new rules for time travel that haven't been in previous stories...main point they made as always - Flash Forwards are written in stone and can't be changed by meddling with the past. (sidenote: LOST received their Emmy Nod for BEST DRAMA based on submitting this episode! Well deserved!! Can't forget Michael Emerson's nod for his outstanding BEN performances this season!)
  • Matthew Fox showed up as a surprise at Comic-Con but apparently didn't really contribute much to the panel. Hey, I guess after a box office bomb like Speed Racer, you need to go to events like this and get crazy applause to reassure yourself that you're not a failure!
  • Lindeloff insists that the island did not move in the finale. (hmmmmm Joke? or hint?) (7/29 - After seeing part of the panel, I think this was in reference to the season 2 finale not season 4 finale, so my 7/29 revised section below).
  • There is yet another Marvin Candle video that was shown at Comic-Con and this one seems to be moments before the purge. He admits his real name is Chang and a professor at Ann Arbor, Michigan. Based on the EW article, it seems ol' Chang does not survive the purge. But the reason for the video is to insist that the Island research was valid and insist that the DHARMA Initiative be reconstituted. hmmmmmmm (video is posted above)
  • (7/28) Just watched the video. Woaaa...that stuff was intense. Candle makes references that people will not view this video for 30 years. Then he mentions the president will be George W. Bush and that there is something called the internet. He urges the reconsititution of the DHARMA initiative in order to go to the past and save them. huh? Also, I could've sworn Ben was a little older when the purge happened (translation: it wasn't the 70's). But I guess with the Time Travel stuff going on, it's tough to know when the Island was when Ben was the age he was during the purge! Craaaaazy!
  • Rousseau's story will be told in season 5! (finally!!)
  • Vincent will return in season 5 (and might possibly be the first confirmed to survive the entire series)

7/29

Oh man, for a brief moment this morning the full video of the comic-con panel was available and I posted on the blog. I got through parts 1 and 2 of 5 and was on part 3 and then they removed it all! I guess we'll have to wait for the podcast! Here's additional information I found out.

  • Question: When the hatch imploded and the sky turned purple, did the island move through time then?
    Answer: No
Gift: DHARMA brand bottle of water.
  • Question: A local news station told me season 4 won't begin until february and that there are only 2 seasons left, is this true?
Answer: Ummm yeah where have you been? We made that announcement in season 3!
Gift: LOST Calendar (ba dum ching!!)
  • Question: What are your favorite episodes and seasons?
Carlton's Answer: Favorite episode - Season 4's "The Constant" Favorite Season - 1
Damon's Answer: Favorite episode - Season 1 Finale (loved writing it) Loves seasons 1 and 4 but mentioned that fans that stuck with the show will be rewarded and hopes that if this question is asked again in years to come people will say Seasons 5 and 6 are their favorite. They have a lot of "cool" things planned, he says. (consider me psyched!)
    Gift: Eh I forget!
  • Question: The guy told the producers "Shame on them" for tricking us in the Sun Flash Forward/Jin Flashback episode. But Congrats on season 4! Then asked about the Season 4 Promo with the cityscape underneath it.
Answer: Carlton says we have been looking too much into it. The promotion meant to reflect that part of season 4's story would be told in the real world (the Oceanic 6)
Gift: For slapping the producers around a bit, they gave the Questioner a Heroes Season 1 DVD. That's hysterical!
  • Some of that DHARMA video made a little more sense too as the guy with the grey hair is a DHARMA Recruiter for the Octagon Global Recruiting Campaign. This was that commerical that was aired near the end of the season 4 finale. I'm guessing this will have something to do with the fall marketing internet campaign for the show to keep us occupied. He mentioned a website http://www.dharmawantsyou.com/ I haven't checked it out yet and am not sure if it's the same website we were given during the finale. (too lazy to look at my blog obviously!)

Stuff I've read lately, theories I've heard lately totally unrelated to Comic-Con

  • I did read somewhere that Team Darlton stated something like season 5 deals with how the Oceanic 6 plan to get back to the island. But at the same time they stated that fans become restless if the core cast is separated for too long so they have factored this into their plan. Take that however you like!
  • I posted a comment in the Finale blog about Christian Shephard and Charles Widmore. Apparently the actors John Terry and Alan Dale are signed on for recurring roles in season 5, but rumor has it that they are signed on for FULL-TIME in season 6. Hmmmmmm! I mean, that kinda makes sense based on how things are going right now. But it does leave a lot of room for questions doesn't it? And it also sets things up for a nice father/son reconciliation between Jack and Dad. And considering we know what happens when you've reconciled and fully redeemed yourself...does this mean that Jack will bite the big one in the end? Hmmmm I'm starting to think about this stuff as we're winding down. And right now I'm thinking in the end....Sawyer or Jack will sacrifice himself for the other's benefit allowing Kate to be with her True Love (whoever this ends up to be!). Sappy I know! But LOST does sappy pretty well!
  • Okay, someone else told me about this idea...I'm not sure what I think of it. You know how in Kate's finale dream how the phone conversation says in reverse that the island needs them to come back and all? And then Claire hovering over Child says "Don't bring him back!!!" ? Well, she never actually mentions Aaron's name I don't think. She says "DO NOT BRING HIM BACK TO THE ISLAND!!!! DON'T YOU DARE!!!" (yep, I checked the trusty finale blog!) So theories are starting to go around that maybe Claire means John Locke (aka Jeremy Bentham)! I dunno, it seems like a stretch to me, but it could make sense! Who knows? It could mean Ben too! But considering she was hovering over her child and Kate said "get away from my son" I think it's safe to assume that she meant don't bring Aaron back. Still, fun to theorize isn't it?

Well, that's all I have for now, keep checking in though because if I find anything else out from Comic-Con, I'll be adding it to this post. I'll make sure to add a Revision Date to where I add information.

It's been awhile since everyone has chatted, so I'm interested to hear everyone's thoughts on the show as you've been in hibernation! Hope this helps fill the void of the long LOST OFF-SEASON! I'll be sure to post another blog after the next significant update is given to us. See you then and NAMASTE!

LOST: Surprise Flight 815 Crash Anniversary Podcast and Random News Updates

Hello fellow LOSTIES! Yes, the dreadful hiatus continues! It will be even more painful this week with all of the other shows starting to premiere this fall! Okay, maybe it will be less painful with Heroes and The Office filling that empty void! (if you're not watching either of those, there's my plug!) Anyway, I have been hearing rumblings about people wondering where Mike has been and when that next blog would be coming! My answer? There has been nothing to update you on! But, I feel your pain, and am itching for some news myself! And I guess the producers realized this too as they conducted a Podcast that was released Saturday September 22nd 2007, the 3rd anniversary of the crash of Flight 815. They surprised us with a special Q&A in which they actually called up some fans that had sent in questions and answered them during the Podcast. I thought, to help fill the void, that I would share the Q&A with you below. Also afterwards there are some random news blurbs I added that I have heard. Enjoy!

Damon Lindeloff and Cartlon Cuse (Executive Producers) Podcast Q&A

SPOILER ALERT!!! Just a note, I consider anything the producers told us to be MILD SPOILERS. They would never give anything away that could ruin the experience for their viewers. But, if you don't want to know anything about season 4, STOP READING NOW!

And here we go! (please note that I paraphrased the conversations for a more entertaining read!)
  1. Question: Do you have a definitive plan for the Sawyer, Kate, Jack Love Triangle?

    Answer:
Supposedly Damon Lindeloff and Carlton Cuse each support one of the pairings. There are the JATERS (Jack and Kate) and the Skaters (Sawyer and Kate), but Darlton (yes, Damon and Carlton) will not say which one supports which pairing. Even though they both have their preferences, they have ultimately agreed on who Kate will end up with in the end. They emphasized that it is not a resolved story (at this point in the show) by any means. And also they stated one more time that the Flash Forward we have seen is not the end of the show by any stretch of the imagination. There is lots of story to tell beyond that.
  2. Question: As for the Flash Forward, is this only one possible occurrence of the future? Or is it a definite occurrence?

Answer: Darlton, to my extreme excitement, stated that they are not big fans of multiple futures. What we see about the future is the defined future. So throw out any theories you had about them changing something in the past and it changing the future. I've been a long subscriber that they already have a complicated story to tell without getting into the complications that time travel can bring a story. However, Darlton did state that this doesn't mean that the ability to travel through time will not continue to be a theme on the show. But they state that the rules of TIME they follow are the exact rules that Mrs. Hawking explained to Desmond during his travel into the past. The Future is FIXED, no getting around it. Anything you change in the past will ultimately not change the future.
  3. Question: The actor who plays Richard Alpert (Nestor Carbonell) is on the TV Show CANE now. Richard Alpert seemed to have grown into a pretty essential character by the end of season 3. How will you work around this?

Answer: Darlton acknowledged that they put a lot of work into the character of Richard Alpert with him first appearing to be Ben's 2nd in command, and eventually learning that he was not part of the DHARMA Initiative but a NATIVE or ORIGINAL OTHER. Unfortunately, real life intervenes when doing television and they have to work around these problems. They ran into a similar situation with Harold Perrineau (Michael). They wanted to bring him back in season 3 but there were commitments Harold could not get out of. But his story will resume in season 4. The story of Richard Alpert is parked for the time being but Darlton are hopeful to return to his character but it depends on what happens with CANE. The silver lining? Even though CANE will air on CBS, it is produced by ABC Television studios. Rest assured, there is an extensive plan for Mr. Alpert.
  4. Question: Are Nikki and Paolo really dead or will that story continue?

Answer: They're dead. Story is done! This was a situation where the producers were doing damage control. The audience didn't buy Nikki and Paolo being on the island the whole time and us just not seeing them. They had a long running story arc planned for them, but instead wrapped it all up into one episode. (Translation: NO MORE THEORIES ON THIS!) I personally think they did a good job with it!
  5. Question: Is Kate pregnant with Sawyer's baby?

Answer: The actual premiere date in February is still up in the air, but with the show premiering some time in February it is safe to assume we'll probably have an answer to this question by March (Damon's exact phrase? "The Ides of March"). They hinted at possibly 4 episodes into season 4, we'll know.
  6. Question: Are we going to find out if Mikhail is still alive?

    Answer:
We've been fooled on this before but Darlton confirms that this time he really is dead. But this doesn't mean he won't be on show (flashbacks). After all, we still need to find out how he lost his eye!

Well, that's the Producer Q&A! Hey, I'll take anything I can get at this point!

Other News
  • If you haven't been reading the comments of previous blogs (which I occasionally post newsworthy information in), Season 3 of LOST will be available on Blu Ray in addition to standard DVD (release date December 11th!) So, all of you early adopters out there like myself can enjoy LOST in pristine HIGH DEFINITION! Doesn't it just give you chills thinking about it?
  • (MILD CASTING SPOILER) I'm sure everyone has also heard that we will be hearing from LIBBY again in season 4, probably in the form of more flashbacks. They have been able to work out some scheduling issues with Cynthia Watros. Darlton had stated previously that certain events needed to take place before they could revisit Libby's story, but now they seem to be in a place to do that! I know the question of why Libby was in the Institution with Hurley still has everyone's curiosity peaked!
So, I'm sure a month or so will go by without any more blogs from me and people will start emailing each other saying "Yo, when is the LOST Guy going to update that Blog again? I'm going crazy!!!" My answer as always....when I have information to share! Hopefully those Fall Mobisodes will be starting soon and they don't just fall off the radar like they did last season. I haven't heard much about them lately. But if they're available, I'll definitely plan on writing something about them! Other than that, subscribe to The Official Lost Podcast through Itunes or just listen at lost.abc.com. And you'll have any information I do as well! And as always, keep spreading the word about the Blog! Hopefully, we won't have LOST any momentum when February rolls around! We had some really good discussions near the end of last season. Looking forward to that continuing!

I hope I was able to give you a bit of a LOST fix during this TV premiere Week! In the meantime, enjoy the premiere of Heroes tonight and The Office on Thursday. Oh yeah...and Friday Night Lights October 5th on NBC! Help save one of the best shows on TV besides LOST! And with that, see you in the well-defined and unchangeable future!

LOST: Comic-Con Q&A Panel with Producers

Hello my fellow Losties! 2 months without a new episode or a new blog to read, you must all be going a little crazy like myself! But still some loyal readers have been checking in regularly (based on the hit count - quickly approaching 10,000 hits since February '07!) and I can't thank you enough! I had promised that I'd at least write a blog this summer to recap the Comic-Con session with Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse (executive producers). Unfortunately, the podcast is not available yet, but when it is I'll definitely post the link so you can all hear it. But, obsessive with LOST as I've become, I was scouring the Internet for details last night (yeah, my social life is in question!) as the Q&A was taking place. Unfortunately, details were hard to come by, but I'm sure they will be trickling out to the Internet throughout today. Apparently, they just didn't reveal much. But they at least revealed a few details that might advance some speculations as to what's going on.

Damon and Carlton arrived on stage after a brief video about THE OTHERS was shown (not sure if there was anything revealed in this video or just a recap). They each had bells to ring just in case the other gave too much information. Here's the general information they dished out:

  • LOST Video Game trailer was premiered and is due out early 2008 for PS3, XBOX 360 and PC. I'm guessing this will coincide with the start of season4. The link isn't working for me right now from where I am, but it did last night. Game looks pretty cool!
  • Season 4 confirmed start is February. Not sure why they consider this breaking news as we already guessed or heard this. If season 3's 16 episodes went from February to May why wouldn't the 16 episode 4th Season? Rocket science isn't it?
  • Season 3 DVD Release slated for December 11, 2007 - Again, this was already announced! Rumor has it that there might be a Blu-Ray version for anyone with the advanced technology (rumors come from the ability to pre-order on Amazon.com)

POTENTIAL SPOILER ALERT!!! Below, I'm going to mention a few tidbits the producers mentioned regarding season 4. So read ahead at your own risk. I don't really consider these spoilers. Really just little clues to help advance some personal theories on where this show is heading. We have 7 months to speculate! Here we go:

  • Harold Perrineau (Michael) returns as a series regular in season 4 and was present at Comic-Con. He said he's excited to get back to Hawaii and hang out with his friends (not to mention start yelling "WAAAAAAAALT!!!!" again! Can't wait for that!) Damon describes that the WAY he comes back will be pretty awesome. Thoughts out there anyone? Would it be too easy to say that he has been with whoever Jack talked to on the phone at the end of season 3? And why no mention of WALT? What's going on there?
  • A question was asked to whether Ben getting trapped in Rousseau's net in season 2 was accidental or intentional. Answer: Accidental, more information to follow in season 4
  • Another question: in season 1 when Hurley saw a man fall past him in the building, was it Locke? Answer: No (they already confirmed this, what a waste of a question!)
  • Much more of Rousseau's back story will be given to us over the next couple seasons. Maybe we'll finally see Montan lose his arm! (Producers always joke about this in the podcast because she mentioned it the first time we met her as she tortured Sayid)
  • Season 4 will be comprised of both Flashbacks AND Flash Forwards. This is the direction I was leaning towards, since there are still a few back stories we need fleshed out (primarily Ben, Rousseau and Desmond). We'll probably need some history on where Michael has been for the past 22 episodes! I guess that answers the fact that ISLAND LIFE will still be the Present Day. So we can start speculating to how they're going to get stuck there, unless we'll actually be following them off of the island in present day. Yeah, I guess they really didn't reveal anything with that statement! Hmmm....a big question was if they started showing Flash Forwards how will they keep a secret who lives and dies? Maybe we're only going to get Flash Forwards of Kate, Jack and a couple others? hmmmm who knows? Maybe in 7 months we'll figure it all out!
  • The only other tidbit I got was that they closed out the session with a DHARMA VIDEO about station 6, "The Orchid Station" and that the symbol was a white rabbit with a 15 on its back. And there was a statement that said station 6 was "not a botanical research unit." Yeah, your guess is as good as mine!

That's all the info I've found so far. If anyone else was at Comic-Con or has found more information, please share! Once I get my hands on the podcast, I'll update this blog with the link and any noteworthy additional information. (note 7/31 - I added below: links to blogs recapping comic con as well as the You Tube VIDEOS from Comic Con!!! Definitely all worth watching!) I guess the next thing we have to look forward to are the Mobi-sodes premiering in the fall which will feature the main cast members in 2 or 3 minute segments. Unfortunately, I don't have Verizon so if you're going to get my feedback on these, we'll have to wait until they're available on The Lost Website. So, stay tuned for more updates and keep passing on this blog to any LOST fans you meet! Tell them to bookmark for February! See you sometime in the future (or the past!).
